A guide to hanging light
A pendant should relate to what sits beneath it. Look at the table, island or bedside first, then compare the shade and suspension of the exact size you choose.
Record the ceiling height and the surface below. Check both the lamp body and the adjustable cable or rod: the shade height alone is not the installed drop.
An open shade, a diffuser and an opaque shade send light in different directions. Check the bulb or integrated LED specification and the dimming option for your selected variant.
Check the canopy dimensions, ceiling fixing and power point before ordering. For a row of pendants, measure the full arrangement, including the space between shades.
